Honey Bear Candles

Honey Bear Candles is a small business that will be started by one of my close friends, Jannell. Jannell plans to sell homemade candles online and in-person for her business. A portion of all proceeds made will be donated to save the bees. I designed the logo, labels and packaging for the candles, taking Jannell’s guidelines and feedback into close consideration. She wanted a logo of a honey bear that is unique, organic, comforting and personable- all the things Jannell’s candle brand is about! So, I opted for a more illustrative style of a cute honey bear eating honey that would give the brand instant recognition.

 

For the packaging, I kept Jannell’s budget in mind and created a simple organic box. The dripping honey creates a feeling of warmth and the honey bear licking it on the back gives the design a sense of playfulness. The labels for each candle are consistent with the colors and honey theme on the packaging and logo. I decided to create fun names for the candles as well, like “Bee-nana Pudding” and “Sea Bee-reeze,” which will help Jannell’s candle stand out from competition and emphasize her mission of saving the bees.
